March 27, 2010 The trusses arrived today, but have not yet been placed atop the second level. A thunderstorm yesterday reminded us that March can still keep us guessing by dropping rain, hail, and very plump snowflakes! Fortunately the mess resulted in negligible accumulation, but enough of a storm to slow ease of construction.
During the storm, we met with a supplier and chose internal and external doors, baseboard, and door knobs. Since learning of the official recording of our previous house, we can be excited about these appointments without reservation. This is reality!
Nick and I stopped by the site today on a beautiful, blue Utah afternoon.
The photo above was taken north of the front door, through the foyer. The staircases will be on the left. Sunshine on the south side driveway and sidewalk will assist us in snow management....less shoveling.
